SafeGum

SafeGum is an elastic fastener for the secure and flexible mounting of hay nets and slow feeders. It equalizes tensile forces, reduces stress peaks, and ensures durable and material-friendly fastening.

A particular safety advantage of SafeGum is its function as a predetermined breaking point. Should a horse get caught in the hay net and exceptionally high tensile forces arise, SafeGum can yield as intended. This significantly reduces the risk of injury and creates an additional safety mechanism in an emergency.

Fix Plus Special – maximum stability

Our Fix Plus Special is equipped with a continuous sleeve, which ensures particularly high stability and longevity. This makes it ideal for horses with vigorous or rough eating habits.

Please note: Strong pulling or tugging at the slow feeder can indicate that the chosen mesh size or hole size is not optimally suited to your horse's eating behavior. In this case, we recommend exchanging the slow feeder for a model with a more suitable mesh size to promote calm and horse-friendly feed intake.

Our stainless steel tube connectors are used for secure and stable connection of the stainless steel frames. The integrated grub screws ensure a firm hold and a reliable construction.

To ensure a permanently secure connection, the grub screws should be regularly checked for tightness and retightened if necessary.

Note:

If the stainless steel connectors repeatedly come loose despite regular retightening, this may indicate an unsuitable mesh size of the hay net.

If the mesh size is not optimally adjusted to the horse's feeding behavior or the structure of the hay, strong pulling and tugging on the hay net can occur. The resulting forces are transferred to the frame and can cause the screws to loosen.

In this case, we recommend adjusting the mesh size to your horse's individual feeding behavior. An appropriate mesh size promotes calm and horse-friendly feed intake. Eating too coarsely can lead to long-term health disadvantages and also significantly increases the wear and tear of the hay net.
