The timed hay dispenser is made of food-grade, break and shatter-proof, high-quality plastic. This material not only ensures a high level of safety for the animals but is also particularly durable and easy to clean. This makes the hay dispenser ideal for daily use in the stable. The timed hay dispenser can be used in sheltered outdoor areas.
The lid and the back panel are made of sturdy screen printing material, which provides additional stability. Thanks to the straight back panel, the hay dispenser can be easily and securely mounted on a wall. At the same time, the design is space-saving, so it can also be used without problems in smaller stable areas.
Our popular timed hay dispensers are available in various versions: with a feeding grid, with a hay net, or as an open version. This allows the hay dispenser to be optimally adapted to the individual needs of the animals and supports controlled, species-appropriate feed intake. The right choice of the appropriate slow feeder is crucial for good function as well as for the health and well-being of the animal.
In the net version, the hay net can be replaced particularly easily without loosening the cable tie. These also fulfill an important safety function: should a horse ever get caught, the cable ties will break under stress, allowing the animal to free itself and not get stuck on the hay dispenser.
In the timed version, a drop-down floor is integrated inside the hay dispenser. This divides the hay dispenser into two portions and can be automatically triggered via a timer. The horse can first eat the first portion, while the second portion is held back. At the set time, the control unit releases the drop-down floor and the second portion slides down automatically, allowing the horse access to hay again.
The timer can be individually programmed and can be adjusted for each day. In addition, several trigger times can be set per day. This makes it possible to fill the hay dispenser multiple times and plan several feeding times without constantly having to reset the timer.
The hay dispenser is available in various power options. The 12V battery version already has an integrated battery level indicator. The battery has a run time of approximately 4–6 weeks, depending on usage and settings.
